The annual Massachusetts STEM Summit promotes Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education and workforce development from early childhood through adulthood. Now in its second decade, the Summit convenes the state’s educators, business leaders, policymakers, parents, students, and others to share strategies, initiatives, collaborations, and ideas.
This year’s theme is “Promising Practices, Proven Results”. Whereas previous Summits focused on defining STEM (the “what”) and making the case for its critical importance (the “why”), today we find that many professionals from all aspects of the STEM pipeline attend the Summit primarily to learn about successful approaches, models, tools, curricula and other products (the “how”). Thus, we present the 2015 Summit as a venue for peers to interact and share innovations and ideas.
The 2015 Summit is hosted by the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, the Massachusetts STEM Advisory Council, and the UMass Donahue Institute and is supported by generous contributions from a broad array of public and private organizations invested in the economic vitality of the state, including businesses, educational institutions, government agencies, and non-profit entities.
