Cyber Trek Breakout Sessions

Below are the details on the Cybersecurity Trek breakout sessions that we will host as part of the Massachusetts Cybersecurity Forum on September 27th.

 

CYBER TREK SESSION 1

 

Trek 1A: Cybersecurity Research and Innovation - Accelerating Over the Horizon R&D Opportunities in Region, University, and Non-Profit Research

Massachusetts is lauded as a hub of innovation, research & development. This trek will look closely at cutting edge research focused on solving cybersecurity-related issues and problems. This trek will introduce security-based changes in technology research, product, and process design, and new ways to manage data.

                                                                 

Trek 1B: Expanding Collaborative Defense

Organizations are increasingly sharing information through informal channels, with growing use of more formal mechanisms, as well as exploring opportunities to coordinate on security across their supply chains. Supporting actions to be discussed include: expanded C-suite leadership, information sharing, external security evaluations, workforce & talent development, and the effective use of simulations and exercises.

 

Trek 1C: Cybersecurity Product and Technology Development - Integration, Orchestration, & Collaboration

This trek will highlight examples of cross-functional and cross- organizational communication and collaboration and showcase examples that are helping to navigate complex cybersecurity solutions and services development.

Trek 2B: Bridging the Cybersecurity Talent Gap

The rapid growth of threat actors and vectors is occurring amid a shortage in tech and cybersecurity talent. At the same time, employers in various industries have a wide range of cyber awareness among their employee staffs. This trek will showcase cyber staffing solution stories as well as highlight programs to expand, train, and skill-up the workforce.

 

Trek 2C: Cybersecurity Customer Challenges

Innovation in technology has been rapid. One of the challenges of incorporating new technology to a business or organization also involves maintaining data privacy, protecting assets, and upgrading cybersecurity. This trek will showcase a range of learning solutions across a set of consumers of cybersecurity.
