Offshore Wind Energy Collaborative
Workshop
February 10-11
The Offshore Wind Collaborative Organizing Group (MTC, GE and US DOE) hosted a two-day workshop on February 10-11, 2005 to begin laying the groundwork for developing a Strategic Plan for the US Offshore Wind Energy Industry. More than forty stakeholders representing wind-and-related industries, environmental organizations, state and federal government, and academic/research institutions attended the workshop.
The sessions were facilitated by RESOLVE, Inc, a DC-based facilitation and resolution firm. The purpose of the workshop was to:
- Discuss the full range of issues and opportunities associated with the development of offshore wind resources, particularly far offshore in deep water off the Northeast coast;
- Develop strategic approaches to address issues and maximize benefits.
The agenda, list of invited stakeholders and workshop presentations are available for viewing and downloading. The navigation bar at right assists in this.
