Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Collaborative

MTC has established a PV Collaborative to act in an advisory capacity to the Board in order to establish a long term solar photovoltaic (PV) strategy for the Renewable Energy Trust (RET). The PV Collaborative, which is being facilitated by a combination of RET staff and a professional facilitator, is composed of a variety of individuals covering a broad spectrum of stakeholder groups. MTC has retained the services of Eric Van Loon of the firm JAMS as the professional facilitator of the PV Collaborative.

The goals of the PV Collaborative include establishing a position of the Trust in regard to solar photovoltaic technology in general and the Massachusetts based PV industry in particular. Establishment of the Trust’s position will include determining the relative benefits to the Commonwealth of using Trust resources to support PV and formulating a multi-year budget allocation target for PV in the years 2005 and beyond. The PV position will also establish a clear set of goals and objectives for the Trust to achieve in the areas of PV industry support, education and training, and PV deployment.
