The Massachusetts Municipal Cybersecurity Summit is an event created by the MassCyberCenter at the MassTech Collaborative for the Commonwealth’s 351 municipalities. The event is designed to help municipal leaders, first responders, utility providers, and IT personnel improve cybersecurity programs in their city or town.
This event will bring together cybersecurity experts from state and federal organizations and the private sector to give municipalities a better understanding of current cybersecurity issues and practical ideas for improving cybersecurity.
Highlighting the evolving federal policy and available security resources to support local initiatives, the Summit will feature keynotes from Commonwealth and federal leadership, updates on cyber threat actors, an overview on the risks of ransomware along with a workshop to build a better cybersecurity program for local communities.
The Massachusetts Municipal Cybersecurity Summit was made possible through funding from an FFY2020 Department of Homeland Security State-Share Grant and awarded to the MassCyberCenter in October 2020.
The Summit will be held on “EventMobi,” a dynamic virtual event platform that will provide opportunities for attendees to engage directly with each other and network throughout the event. Attendees may schedule private networking meetings.
