Healey-Driscoll Administration Invests $800K for Biomanufacturing in Southeastern Massachusetts

WESTBOROUGH, Mass. – Today, the Healey-Driscoll Administration announced $800,000 to bolster the biomanufacturing sector in Southeastern Massachusetts through a new grant to the Mansfield Bio-Incubator, a regional biotech and life sciences incubator that assists local entrepreneurs and startups to accelerate their projects, attract new talent, provide training, and boost capital investment.

MassRobotics Accelerator, Powered by Mass Tech Collaborative, Welcomes its Inaugural Cohort

MassRobotics, the largest independent robotics hub, welcomes the first cohort of the MassRobotics Accelerator, powered by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech). WESTBOROUGH - The Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech) has launched a new initiative to boost the robotics sector across the state, an effort funded through $5 million in investment. The new department, established within the Innovation Institute at MassTech, will help catalyze a comprehensive statewide cluster development effort for robotics that will focus on expansion of research and development (R&D), testing, commercialization, and workforce development throughout the state.

Healey-Driscoll Administration Announces $9.2 Million to Boost Microelectronics During U.S. Department of Defense Visit

LINCOLN – During a visit from officials and members from the U.S. Department of Defense and the National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) hosted by the NEXUS Center, the Healey-Driscoll administration today announced $9.2 million in new technology and workforce development grants aimed at spurring the microelectronics and semiconductor industry across the Northeast Region. The new awards are the first investments made by the Northeast Microelectronics Coalition (NEMC) Hub, the division of the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative that is overseeing investments made by the federal CHIPS and Science Act following the formal establishment of the Hub in September 2023.
